The Greene County 4-H building warmed with glee on the chilly March 31 afternoon as artists conducted craft classes for both children and adults. Traci Sokol, recreational associate and day camp coordinator for the Dept. of Recreation planned the event.

For Amanda McMillen, Rustique Crafts and Antiques in Waynesburg is a passion project, 20 years in the making.

Four years ago Amy Ayers of Waynesburg took her eldest daughter to a show at South Hills Bible Chapel called Secret Keeper Girl. She went in not knowing what to expect, only that it was marketed as a mother-daughter conference with a focus on religion. For two and a half hours she and her 8-year-old bounced from one high-energy activity to another, participating in live worship and interactive bible studies and watching a modesty fashion show.

Waynesburg residents Miles Davin and Barry Nelson have supervised and organized the annual fish fry at St. Ann’s Catholic Church since its inception in 2003.
