Reps. Tim O’Neal (R-Washington) and Jason Ortitay (R-Washington/Allegheny) will be holding a free Sportsmen’s Expo on April 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the North Franklin Volunteer Fire Hall on Sylvan Drive in Washington.

The event will include vendors from throughout southwestern Pennsylvania showcasing sportsmen’s activities and ways to become more active in the outdoors this summer. Information will be provided about local hiking, biking, hunting, camping and fishing opportunities. In addition, the event will include educational talks, demonstrations and hands-on activities. State agencies and the two legislative offices also will be providing hunting regulations, laws and other important information.

Keystone Coonhunters Club will hold a meat shoot April 28. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and shoot begins at noon. For additional information or questions, contact Bill at 724-825-5418.

Hunting Hills Hawkeyes Association will host a sporting clays shoot 1 p.m. April 27 at Hunting Hills Shooting Preserve in Dilliner. There are still spots available for teams and station sponsors. Marianna Field & Stream Club has set its schedule of open-to-the-public shoots for 2019. They include shotgun shoots Oct. 27, Nov. 17 and 24; a .22 rifle shoot April 28, rifle shoots Sept. 15 and 29, Oct. 13; and a Deer Rifle Shoot With Larry on Nov. 3. Mingo Rod & Gun Club meetings are held the third Sunday of each month at 3 p.m. Shooting ranges are available Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. until sunset and Sundays from 10 a.m. until sunset.
