Washington's Got Talent

Travis Baker is a 7th-grade student in Burgettstown Middle/High School. Travis received informal lessons at home from age 2 on and began lessons at school in 4th grade. He currently takes percussion lessons at West Hills Percussion Institute and Piano lessons at SLP Studios. He is currently a member of the Burgettstown Blue Devil Drumline on center snare drum and plays piano in the Burgettstown Senior High Jazz band. Travis loves the outdoors and loves riding his dirt bike and of course, loves his video games.
Alexis Batchelder is a 15-year-old sophomore at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, where she is a Vocal Major. She began taking voice lessons and guitar lessons at the age of 10 and began performing in the Western Pennsylvania area at 12. At 14, she spent a semester performing and studying in Fargo, ND before returning to LPPACS for High school. She has played a wide variety of Washington County area venues. The Rusty Gold Brewing Co., Apis Mead & Winery, and PK Winery are among the places Alexis can be seen regularly. In 2018, she was a featured performer in the Canonsburg 4th of July Parade, on a float sponsored by The Rusty
My name is Makenzie Coyle. I am currently seventeen years old and a junior at Trinity High School. I have been dancing for fourteen years at Moschettas Performing Arts Center. Outside of dance, my interests are boating, swimming, and going to concerts. I am currently involved in Trinity’s Future Business Leaders of America club. I placed first in job interview at regional’s at California University. I am looking forward to being a part of Washington’s Got Talent.
DEPAC Dance Company
Kayde Parker, Marissa Sprouse, Jenna Eckels, Sydney Abbondanza and Anna Kusturiss are all students at Dance Extensions Performing Arts Center in Canonsburg and are all members of the DEPAC Competitive Dance Team. They have won numerous first overalls at both Regional and National competitions, along with choreography, entertainment, and special judges awards. They also enjoy performing at various venues and shows in and out of the Pittsburgh area. This past summer, some of these members were seen performing at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Mikey Ewing is a freshman at Washington High School and has been playing guitar since he was in 3rd grade. He is included in his high school's jazz band, steel band, and marching band, and was a finalist in last year’s Washington's Got Talent show. He attributes a lot of his success to his parents, his current guitar teacher Joe Reihner, and his late band director David Dayton.
My name is Matthew Liberatore, and I am a 17-year-old senior at Canon-McMillan. I have played piano for ten years, but I also play mallet percussion in high school band. Apart from music, math, chemistry, astronomy, and learning languages are my main interests. I am also a cross country runner and a Boy Scout. I am very excited to participate in Washington’s Got Talent this year!
Marissa McCracken is a sophomore at Trinity High School and is in her 12th year of dance at Dance With Me By Sisters 3. As a member of the DWM3 award -winning competition team, Marissa has won many platinum and high score awards. She enjoys all styles of dance, but she especially loves to balance on her handstand canes. The highlight of her dance career, so far, was being invited to and participating in the World Dance Championship in New York City this past summer.
My name is Brett Phillips. I am 14 years old and in the 8th grade at Trinity Middle School. I started playing the piano at 5 years old. I added the violin at 7 years old, clarinet at 9 years old, and saxophone at 11 years old. I have played violin in several orchestras and ensembles, including the South Hills Junior Orchestra, Trinity School Orchestra, and currently am Concertmaster for the Prelude section of the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra and Prelude Chamber Strings Ensemble. Amanda Reilly is a senior at Washington High School and can't wait to sing for you! She started singing at a young age due to being in musicals, but usually in large groups. This being her last opportunity in WGT, she decided to take the stage alone and go out of her comfort zone. She hopes you enjoy the show!
The MASK Project
The MASK Project includes Maria Cimino, Anna Johnson, Sophia Strnisha, and Katie Kerrigan and they range in age from 13-18 and attend Canon McMillan and Trinity school districts. They met at SKM Dance Studio where they all study multiple forms of dance. They are excited to tap in Washington’s Got Talent this year!
Hi, my name is Mike Schaal. I live in a small town named McDonald. I have been playing the piano for about 12 years now. I have played churches in the Pittsburgh area and in Carnegie Hall in New York City. My grandma started me out playing the piano and I have been with the Pittsburgh Music Academy with my current teacher Jack Kurutz for around 7 years now.
Hi, I am Menzi Sherwin. I am thirteen years old. I put on my first pair of ballet shoes when I was two years old and have been dancing ever since. I currently study at Dance n´At studio. I love school, and my favorite subject is science. I am a member of student council and chorus. My favorite hobbies include being active, anything related to art, playing with our family pets, making and editing short videos. Most of all, I love to spend time with family and friends.
Emily is a sophomore at Canon McMillan High School. She is a 2nd-year member of the Majorettes in the Big Mac Band and plays flute in the Symphonic Band. She has been dancing since age 3 and twirling baton competitively since age 6. She has won many national, regional, state and local titles over the years. She was also a member of Team USA and the World Champion Modernette Twirling Corp, who recently competed in Norway in 2018. Emily also dances at Synergy Performing Arts Academy and is a member of their dance company.
