Use casino money for tax relief

I was glad to see the article on casino revenue and property taxes in the Observer-Reporter. I remember how serious the politicians were about reducing our property taxes using the casino payouts.

I believe they should start over, first by getting rid of the committee that distributes the revenue. Each of them have their own personal interest in where the money should go, and it is not to lower taxes. The money should be divided up by each school district. Each district should give credit to each resident based on their tax bill. None of the money should be used for any other reason in the district. This would give taxpayers a fair approach, seeing directly how we can lower our school taxes.
