The real cause of litter problem

Parker Burroughs’ March 17 letter pointed fingers at state and local officials for the county’s trash problems. In typical liberal fashion, he neglected to add the real cause of the problem: the slobs who created it.

I live on a country road with little traffic, yet I regularly pick up cans, beer bottles and fast-food packaging thrown by people passing through.

Mr. Burroughs should point out that the real issue is “trashy people.”
