CANTON

Man jailed: Robert Benton Doty, 33, of 201 Lacock St., Canton Township, is charged by state police with simple assault and harassment over accusations he pushed Tyla Dawn Glover onto a bed, spit on her face six times and struck her several times in the face about 6 p.m. Thursday in the 90 block of Charles Street, court records show. Doty was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

Assault charge: State police filed a charge of simple assault and two summary counts of harassment and disorderly conduct against Eric Barfield, 41, of Caldwell Avenue Thursday. The charges stemmed from an allegation by a witness that Barfield had shoved a woman to the ground that morning. Barfield was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and freed on $5,000 percentage bond.

CHARLEROI

Man jailed: Jerrad Kingbird, 24, of 822 Oakland Ave., Charleroi, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with simple assault, harassment, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse Kingbird of hitting Heather Simmons in the face and shoulder four times, causing her to fall, strike her head and suffer a seizure. He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

CHARTIERS

False report charge: Township police charged Robbie J. Harbaugh, 42, of North Main Street with falsely incriminating another person on Thursday. Police said in court papers that Harbaugh accused his landlord of stealing a quad in a 911 call a week earlier. Text messages allegedly showed the men had agreed for Harbaugh to trade the vehicle for rent. The charge was filed by summons in District Judge David Mark’s office.

SPEERS

Man wanted: Eric Alen Sadler, 38, of 38 Memorial Drive, Perry Township, Fayette County, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with unauthorized access device use, court records show. Police accuse Sadler of using a company credit card at Interstate NDT Inc., 107 Pennsylvania Ave., to make $3,466 in purchases between September and May 6. District Judge Larry Hopkins signed a warrant Friday for Sadler’s arrest.
