CANTON

Assault alleged: Eric Romant Barfield, 41, of 241 Caldwell Ave., Canton Township, was charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct by state police Thursday. According to the criminal complaint, Barfield shoved a woman to the ground on Green Street, causing her ear to bleed, at about 7 a.m. Thursday. He was incarcerated in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. June 18 before District Judge David Mark.

Missing child: State police are searching for Anthony Kristopher Barfield, 12, of 115 Ford St, Canton Township, who has been missing since Monday. According to police, Barfield was last seen by his mother at about 2 p.m. Monday when he was leaving home. Barfield never returned, and is believed to be in the Washington County area. Anyone with information is asked contact state police at 724-223-5200.

CECIL

Man jailed: Jeffrey Patterson, 50, of 3279 Millers Run Road, Cecil, is charged by township police with strangulation, possession of a small amount of cocaine, simple assault and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Patterson of grabbing his girlfriend, Danielle Duda, around the throat and pushing her at his residence about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday. He is in Washington County jail on $25,000 bail set by District Judge Larry Hopkins.

MONESSEN

Assault alleged: Tiffany Stitch, 34, of 421 Reed Ave., Monessen, was charged with simple assault and harassment by city police Tuesday. According to the criminal complaint, Stitch went into the home of Ashley McVicker on McKee Avenue and punched McVicker in the face while she was holding an 8-month-old child. A preliminary hearing has not been scheduled.

Theft: Miriam Kinds, 41, who has no known address, was charged with theft by unlawful taking by city police Tuesday. According to the criminal complaint, Kinds stole $100 from 209 McKee Ave. and ran out of the house. A warrant is out for her arrest.
