Firefighters from four local departments put out a house fire Wednesday afternoon at 221 E. McNutt St. in Houston.

Firefighters were called to a house fire at 221 E. McNutt St. in Houston Wednesday afternoon.

Departments from Chartiers, Canonsburg, Houston and North Strabane, along with police and EMS, responded around 2 p.m.

One person in the building was able to get out and refused treatment, according to North Strabane Township fire Chief Mark Grimm. No injuries were reported.

Grimm said the cause of the fire is unknown, but a state fire marshal was called to investigate. The house was not a total loss, Grimm said, but it will be uninhabitable until adequately repaired.
