Action: At the request of the Finance Department, the commissioners renewed the county’s property and casualty insurance through June 1, 2020, with the Pennsylvania Counties Risk Pool at a cost of $517,789.

At the request of the Children and Youth Services agency, the board approved out-of-state travel for a staff member to bring a minor from Old Hickory, Tenn., to Washington at a cost of approximately $1,557, which includes airfare, meals, hotel and transportation costs without additional county funds.

The commissioners authorized the Planning Commission to seek bids for a bicycle skills course and playground to be constructed at Cross Creek County Park, to be paid with oil and gas funds.

The board approved the emergency purchase from Scalise Industries of two, three-ton split cooling units at a cost of $23,550 for the Courthouse Square office building, to be paid from Act 13 Impact Fee funds.

The commissioners approved a three-year contract with Verizon to provide emergency and non-emergency telephone service to the Public Safety backup system at the Washington County Airport for a monthly cost of $646.
