BOBTOWN – A 59-year-old Greensboro man died after his vehicle collided with a coal truck in Monongahela Township Monday afternoon.

Clyde Pauley was driving north on Bobtown Road near the Dunkard Township line just after 2 p.m. Pauley lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the southbound lane and slid in front of a coal truck driven by Lewis Albright, 68, of Adah, state police said.

Pauley was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital by EMS Southwest, where he died of his injuries. Albright did not need to be transported and sustained only minor injuries, state police said.

Emergency crews were called to the crash on Bobtown Road at Sit Still Road near the Dunkard Township line after the coal truck and SUV collided.

A state police crash reconstruction team arrived at the scene about 3:45 p.m. Monday to determine exactly how the crash happened. State police declined to release any additional information at the scene.

The road was closed for several hours. Bobtown/Dunkard Township and Greensboro firefighters assisted at the scene.
