Fire doused at Donora bus garage

1 min read

DONORA _ Members of Donora Volunteer Fire Co. put out a fire in an engine Thursday, preventing it from spreading to 15 other buses in a transit authority garage.

No one was injured in the 11 a.m. blaze at the garage at 72 Eighth St., said a spokeswoman for the Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority.

Heavy smoke filled the garage, and it needed to be vented with the assistance of a fire department in neighboring Rostraver Township, the fire company said.
