Fort Cherry adopts budget

Property owners in the Fort Cherry School District will see their school taxes increase 4.4% under the school district’s 2022-23 general fund budget.

The Fort Cherry School Board recently adopted a spending plan in the amount of $20,794,067, which includes a millage rate increase of .59113 mills.

The millage rate is now set at 14.0258 mills.

The average assessed value home in the district is $119,690, so a taxpayer will pay an additional $70.75 in taxes for the 2022-23 school year.
