Math counts

The Mathcounts team from John F. Kennedy School won multiple awards at the Washington County Chapter Mathcounts Competition held Feb. 11 at Washington & Jefferson College. Robert McElheny won second place and will be moving on to the Pennsylvania State Competition in March. McElheny, Kelcie Herrmann, Ramaniah Karamcheti and Rowan Curry won third place in the Team Competition. All 10 participants worked hard to prepare and were awarded “Most Improved School” for their efforts over the last five months. The team was led by Paula Matthews, Christine Coyle and Cheryl Putnam.
