WACOM Amateur Radio “Field Day”

The Washington Amateur Communications (WACOM) will be participating in the national Amateur Radio Field Day exercise, June 24 – 25 at the Washington County Public Safety Training location at Mingo County Park.  Field Day begins at 2 PM Saturday, June 24, and ends at 2 PM Sunday, June 25. The group will be showcasing the science and skill of Amateur radio, making contacts in most of the 50 states and other countries using voice, digital or Morse code, and even via satellite. There is no charge and the event is open to everyone to come and see licensed Amateur Radio operators ("hams") in action.
