Sabot announces candidacy for Washington County Register of Wills
A North Franklin Township supervisor has entered the race in the spring primary in hopes of winning the Democratic nomination for Washington County Register of Wills.
Bob Sabot, 61, cited his family’s experience as adoptive parents makes him sympathetic to the adoption process, something the county office he is seeking handles.
“We believe deeply that all children need a nurturing, loving home,” Sabot said. “We also understand the many issues that confront the system in finding those homes.”
Sabot said he has been married to his college sweetheart, Sandy Reynolds Sabot, for 33 years and they are both elected members of Washington County Democratic Committee.
He is employed at Sears at Washington Crown Center in North Franklin Township.
He said he helped to develop businesses around the mall while he served as township supervisor from 1998 to 2004.
He was re-elected as township supervisor in 2017 and vowed to resign from that role if elected as register of wills.
