WAYNESBURG – State police arrested a Masontown man for allegedly exposing himself to two women in Carmichaels Borough.

Michael Earl Moore Jr., 33, of 81 Fort Mason Road, is charged with indecent exposure, open lewdness and disorderly conduct.

According to police, Lisa Teagarden of Carmichaels told them she was walking along West George Street near the First Federal Savings and Loan Association March 22 when a red Dodge Neon pulled up next to her. Teagarden said the driver of the Neon first asked her if she needed a ride. He then asked if she would like to have a good time and exposed himself to her, Teagarden said. Teagarden fled and went inside Gabler’s Drug Store to avoid him. Teagarden told police the man was alone in the car.

On March 23, Kimberly Petron, of Crucible, was coming out of Gabler’s Drug Store at 1 p.m. when she noticed a red Dodge Neon parked very close to her truck. Petron told police when she went to her truck, she saw a man in the Neon exposing himself. She said he looked at her and rolled his window down as she got into the truck.

According to an affidavit, police obtained the video surveillance footage from the banks in Carmichaels Borough to obtain a picture of Moore that was distributed to state police in Waynesburg. On March 26, a trooper saw a man fitting Moore’s description in a red Dodge Neon in the parking lot of the Waynesburg BP service station. Police questioned Moore at the scene. He told them he had no recollection of being in Carmichaels March 22.

Moore was brought in for a line-up March 28 where he was identified by both victims.

Moore was arraigned Wednesday and released on $15,000 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. April 10 before District Judge Lee Watson.
