Copper stolen: Canonsburg police said copper pipes were reported stolen Wednesday from a house at 200 Smithfield St.
Driver faces charge: The driver of a vehicle that crashed Tuesday morning on Interstate 79 near the Southpointe exit, Cecil, faces a charge for an alleged firearm violation. Jon E. Bruce II of Imperial had a loaded handgun in his vehicle when the vehicle traveled from the northbound lane through the median and into the southbound lane. State police said Bruce does not have a permit for the weapon.
Two charged: Jennifer Koster, 32, and Joseph E. Mattey, 43, both of 100 Duvall St., Elco, were arrested Wednesday on charges of possession and manufacture of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. Roscoe-Elco-Stockdale-Allenport regional police went to the home with a search warrant after a confidential informant reportedly purchased 10 stamp bags of suspected heroin from Mattey. An ambulance attendant had found 30 bags of suspected heroin hidden on Koster, police said. Koster and Mattey were arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and placed in the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond each.
Bar cited: The operator of The Outhouse, 107 Second St., was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement with selling alcohol to a minor. The violation allegedly occurred Jan. 30.
Harassment charge: Corey Maxwell, 29, of Claysville, will be charged with harassment by state police after he allegedly assaulted Wendy Baker, 30, of Claysville, during an argument Saturday at 1957 Craft Creek Road, Morris.
Window broken: The rear window on a pickup truck parked in the 100 block of Conestoga Drive, Venetia, was broken before 6:29 p.m. Wednesday, township police said. A rock was found on the passenger seat.
