Utah women hold on to beat USC 63-60
Iwalani Rodrigues scored 23 points and Utah held on to beat Southern California 63-60 Friday night.
Paige Crozon, who finished with 13 points and a team-high six rebounds, made two free throws with 4 seconds remaining to give the Utes (11-9, 2-7 Pac-12) a three-point lead. USC had a chance to tie, but Ariya Crook's 3-pointer missed.
Michelle Plouffe scored 14 points for the Utes, whose only other Pac-12 win was at home against Arizona State. Utah missed five free throws in the final 35 seconds to help USC cut a seven-point deficit down to one.
Crook led the Trojans (8-12, 5-4) with 20 points. Cassie Harberts scored 19 points for USC, which has lost four of five after a 4-0 Pac-12 start. Harberts could have tied the game, but made one of two free throws moments before Crozon made hers.
